During the lock downs I would play the Binding of Isaac everyday after work. Always the daily run. There was two fold competition. Be better than the day before and be higher on the leader board. I even managed to rank #1 once. Some where out there is a server archiving the Isaac daily runs and my username is at the top spot. That’s where I get most competitive. When there is an objective rank and even more when some kind of tracking is involved.
These days I’m focusing on something I hope will be a bit more of a benefit to my life, learning Spanish on Duolingo. Is gamifying education a good thing? I don’t really know. But I do know I took the top spot in the Diamond league last week.
