Homecoming
After a week away the whole apartment feels different. The energy is dulled. It’s like a new chair that doesn’t conform to my shape anymore. Have I really changed that much in just a week? Or is it the apartment that is different. The life energy that shapes the environment seeping out and left empty. Even the cat notices it. She is on me, purring and soaking in the love. She missed the life force too. Even cats can get lonely. She drools and licks my arm. The sharp spines of the tongue hurt. It’s a good and loving pain and I let her show me this affection. I hate to leave her but in two weeks I’ll do it again. This is work and the almighty dollar still rules here.
