The opposite of a nature poem
Elevated train slides through a sleepless city Shameful journey home
When I ride the subway it’s easy to zone out if I’m below ground. It’s like I can just set an alarm in my brain for which ever stop I need. Riding an elevated line is different. There’s a whole city out there to look at and sometimes it can feel like the city is looking back.
