I’m usually the quiet type so getting me talking on any topic is stretch. Here’s what to ask about if you want to get me talking.
Books - I am always reading something and there is always a reason why I’m reading a particular book. If I start going off into theories you’ll know I’m having a good time. Even right now I’m watching Jack Edwards talk about books. I swear if I ever start a YouTube channel it will be about books.
Technical Stuff - I was math major. If we get going on a technical topic I will keep going. I feel this one is maybe a little unfair since a lot of the time might be spent with me silently thinking about stuff. That’s just the danger of going down a really technical path.
Food/Cooking - I love learning about cooking. It’s history, techniques, what people like to eat. There’s an art and a science to cooking and I love all of it. Expect me to want to cook anything interesting I hear about. Even the simple hamburger has so many variations and so many techniques I can’t get enough.
Corporate Food History - I never knew what was missing from my life until I started listening to Time Crisis. Sure this topic combines the three above topics but that’s what makes it so amazing. Each and every corporation that we all grew up with has so much history behind it. Yes, I’ve read For God, Country, and Coca-Cola and McDonald’s: Behind the Arches. It’s a niche within a niche and it is everything I love.
Conspiracy Theories - I’m just in it for the fun. I don’t really believe anyone in charge is smart enough to plan and execute an actual conspiracy at the scale these things get up to. Then again it is fun to theorize about what might be plausible. I check out when people take these things too seriously.
